About the role
We’re hiring a Growth Operations generalist at a fast growing, bootstrapped proxy infrastructure company based in Manchester. Our residential proxy network is used by web scraping, automation and agentic AI companies worldwide. We support thousands of customers across 195+ countries and process 25+ billion proxy requests per month, with +252% YoY platform sign-up growth. We’ve grown to seven figures in ARR without raising a penny, and we’re just getting started. Right now, too much of the business runs through the founder. Your job is to change that. This is a general operations role with a slight focus on marketing. You’ll help build the processes that let the company scale and mature, take recurring operational work off the founder’s plate, and own a growing slice of our GTM, from SEO and affiliates to startup programs and funnel building. If you’re looking for a pure marketing job, this isn’t it. This is a fast paced, high ownership environment with a dynamic team. We move quickly, ship frequently, and expect you to learn fast, take responsibility and make decisions without waiting for permission. - Own general operations across the business with a slight focus on marketing. Some weeks are heavy GTM, others are staffing, administration, budgeting, vendor negotiations, planning, compliance processes or whatever fire needs putting out. No ego, no “that’s not my job”
- Reduce founder bottleneck by taking general operational work off the founder’s plate and building processes so it runs without either of you touching it
- Scale our GTM:
- Guide our content strategy holistically, working alongside our content team and social media manager. You’ll direct what gets made and why, not produce it yourself
- Scale SEO alongside the content team: content operations, technical SEO improvements and keyword strategy
- Build out link building partnerships and manage the affiliate program end to end
- Apply to and manage startup programs (cloud credits, partner perks, directories)
- Sharpen our ICP definition and build scalable, repeatable funnels that get that ICP from first touch to onboarded
- Experiment with emerging marketing channels and trends to find alpha before they get crowded, then double down on what works and kill what doesn’t
- Work with design partners to build GTM assets
- Own marketing analytics: attribution, funnel assessment and conversion optimisation using GA4, reporting clearly on what’s working
- Manage outreach and CRM workflows in Attio
- Build and document processes across the whole business that let us scale and mature, including processes supporting our SOC 2 attestation (access reviews, vendor management, policy documentation)
- Support people operations: hiring logistics, staff onboarding, and the admin that comes with a growing team
- Own budgeting and spend tracking across tools, vendors and marketing channels
- Work directly with the founder on strategy, then execute it end to end
Requirements, must have
- Based in or able to commute to Manchester. This is an in person role at our Manchester office
- Proven generalist first, marketer second: comfortable switching between operations, admin, compliance and marketing work in the same week without dropping balls
- Solid understanding of SEO mechanics: how keyword strategy, content and link building drive organic growth. You don’t need to be a hands on specialist, but you need to direct the work credibly
- Strong idea generation: you come up with creative, unconventional marketing approaches and can spot opportunities others miss
- Strong analytical skills: confident in GA4, spreadsheets, and turning messy data into clear decisions
- Excellent written communication for outreach, partnerships, documentation and internal processes
- Highly organised and process minded. You enjoy turning chaos into systems that other people can follow
- Comfortable working directly under the founder with high autonomy and ambiguity. You will often be handed a problem, not a task
- Comfortable being the first operations hire
Requirements, nice to have
- Startup or early team experience
- Experience marketing to technical audiences (developers, scraping, automation or infrastructure buyers)
- Experience running or scaling an affiliate program
- Familiarity with Ahrefs or similar SEO tools
- Familiarity with Attio or similar CRMs (HubSpot, Pipedrive)
- Experience with outbound and partnership outreach at scale
- Exposure to SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks (OneLeet, Vanta, Drata)
- Basic SQL or scripting for pulling and analysing data
- Experience with paid channels, sponsorships or community marketing, and a track record of finding underpriced channels early
- People ops or hiring coordination experience
- Experience with vendor negotiation or basic bookkeeping
Working arrangement
- Full time, in person at our Manchester office
- Reports directly to the founder
- Opportunity to grow with the company as the operations function matures. This role can become Head of Operations or Head of Growth depending on where you’re strongest
